Art & About: Jim White Memorial Paint-out - Throughout Waterville – May 31 through June 4 - artists choose their own locations to paint en plein air (outdoors) and the public is invited to watch the artists in action. Paintings are then displayed at Waterville Library as part of the new AW Inspiration Art Exhibit until July 26th. This is a free event for artists but pre-registration is requested.

AW Inspiration art exhibit will be held June 4 through July 24 with a closing reception on July 24 to be held at the Waterville Branch Library, 800 Michigan Ave., Waterville, Ohio.
The exhibit will be a collection of local artwork inspired by the Anthony Wayne area. All artists are invited to participate, and any medium is welcome including paintings, photography, ceramics, sculpture, glass, fabric art, etc.
This is a free event for artists, but pre-registration is requested.
Information for artists:
1. This is not a juried show and there are no awards connected to the exhibit.
2. All work is welcome including, but not limited to paintings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, pottery, glass, fiber arts, wooden and metal work. Artists may enter no more than two (2) pieces of artwork. Depending on the number of registered participants this number could increase.
3. Artwork will be on display at the library beginning on June 3 or June 4 through July 24.
4. The library has a track display system so if you are bringing wall art it would be great if it had a hanging wire on the back of each piece. We do have some free-standing easels as well.
5. Participating artists must drop their work off at the Waterville Branch Library on either June 3 or 4 between the hours of 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm. Representatives from AWAAC will be at the library to accept the entries and install the work.
6. Participating artists will be required to sign a liability waiver.
7. AWAAC will create cards with the artist’s name, title of the work and price if it is for sale and these will be placed next to each work. It is fine to display not for sale work if you wish.
8. Work cannot be sold on the library property so AWAAC will get the contact information of anyone interested in purchasing work and share it with you. You will then contact the customer directly. You can also leave your business cards near your work.
9. All participating artists, their family and friends will be invited to attend a closing open house reception at the library. More details about this reception will be coming soon.
At the conclusion of the exhibit, artists can pick up their work at the closing reception or anytime during regular library hours from July 25 – July 31.

The Eats & Beats Food Truck Tuesdays will be held once a month in June, July and August of 2024 in Conrad Park (Michigan Ave, Waterville) pending permission from the City of Waterville. This family-friendly event totally sponsored by the Anthony Wayne Area Arts Commission. There was no admission fee to attend.
Live music is provided by the incredible local groups in Conrad Park’s gazebo.
Free kids’ art workshops are led by local artist/teachers.
Different food trucks are featured at each event.
Many talented artisan vendors sold their arts and crafts.

The annual Waterville Roche de Boeuf Festival is scheduled for September 28, 2024. The Anthony Wayne Area Arts Commission is sponsoring the artists’ section again this year. The artists’ section always receives very positive feedback from festival goers. We are working to organize and promote a very successful Rue des Artistes (Street of Artists) again this year.
Our purpose continues to be to promote the work of high-quality artists/artisans and to enhance the offerings of art at the festival. There will be 30 - 35 artists included in this special area named Rue des Artistes.
As you know the Roche de Boeuf Festival sponsored by the Waterville Chamber of Commerce is held in downtown Waterville and attracts thousands of visitors. By participating in Rue de Artistes, artists will have the opportunity to meet many potential customers and feature your work for sale. Promotion for this special artists’ section will be included in advertising for the festival.

Fallen Timbers Art Festival - November 2 & 3, 2024 - Time TBD
Sponsored by the Shops at Fallen Timbers and the Anthony Wayne Area Arts Commission.
General Information: The 4nd Annual Fallen Timbers Art Festival is a Juried Fine Art show and indoor event that features – and focuses on the sale of – diverse works of art in metal, glass, clay, wood, fiber, jewelry, sculpture, painting, photography, and more. We hold this event to celebrate the wonderfully diverse art & artists of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan and uplift our community while encouraging public interest in collecting the work of fine artists. This is a non-profit event benefiting the Anthony Wayne Area Arts Commission. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the creative arts program at Bittersweet Farms.
Fallen Timbers Art Festival is located in The Shops at Fallen Timbers, off Route 24, on Fallen Timbers Lane. The Shops at Fallen Timbers is an open-air lifestyle center with a striking streetscape design overlooking a feature lake and boardwalk area. The 640,000-square-foot shopping center is anchored by Dillard’s, JCPenney, Barnes & Noble, Staybridge Suites and Cinemark’s Rave Cinemas Fallen Timbers 14+ eXtreme.
Since this is an event is held rain or shine. In addition to local art, the festival includes a wine-tasting that showcases premium Ohio wines, and delectable local treats offered by select food trucks.
